Faraz Anwar Will Not Be Playing In Guitar Idols Final In London!

Faraz Anwar made it to the list of top 4 in Guitar Idol. He was selected for the finals where he had to play live at the London. Unfortunately he had issues with the VISA and UK had been bitch in the case. They REALLY thought that Faraz Anwar could be one of those Talibans and faked to be a guitarist to reach London and that he might have had a guitar case like the one in desperado. I feel really sorry about it. He also has to go for studies after the summers this year I really hope they don’t screw that now. Faraz Anwar has been really polite even after that. James Edwards the organiser of Guitar Idol has expressed his sorrows and regreted the abscene of Faraz Anwar. It’s really bad and heartbreaking news. Few other contestants left hate comments for Faraz Anwar for being a Pakistani and said that he cheated in the competition. James clarified the situation and said that Faraz had third most unique pageviews which proves that there was no chance of foul play in it. He placed fourth even though he had third most pageviews which means one of the top three played foul though. This is the goodbye note by Rameez on behalf of Faraz Anwar and I really feel proud at their politness even after what happened.

Claudia Ciesla is Salman Khan's Girl

So what's going on with Salman Khan? The Bollywood hunk hasn't found Ms. Right yet. He has dated everyone from superstar actress Aishwarya Rai to most recently Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif. Many were sad to see the recent breakup between Katraina Kaif and Salman Khan. However Salman is on the rebound as there is a new woman in Salman Khans life, her name is Claudia Ciesla and she's a German supermodel.

And how'd he end up with Claudia Ciesla? The two met when Claudia was in India to dub her film. Yes, she doesn't just model, she acts, and sings. Claudia is a 5'9" (one inch taller than Salman Khan)blue eyed blonde, definitely nothing like who Salman has been seen with in the past. Only time will tell if Salman can make it work with Claudia Ciesla or if she's going to end up like one of the others. Currently Salman Khan is working on his television show "Power of Ten" and finishing up filming "Veer." As for Claudia Ciesla, she's been seen at the Cannes Festival with Abhishek Bachchan. Maybe she's trying to arrange a double date between them and the Bachchans.

Aamir Khan's Hollywood Debut with Actress Kate Winslet

Instead of a usual Bollywood babe acting alongside him, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan's costar in his next flick would maybe with Hollywood actress Kate Winslet. His film 'Lagaan' which was nominated as a Foreign Film at the Oscars a couple years ago was the closest the actor has come to Hollywood.

The movie will be directed by acclaimed Indian-born filmmaker Pan Nalin, who directed the highly acclaimed film 'Samsara' which was about a monk looking for enlightenment. The film is based on a Pakistani short story 'Toba Tek Singh' by Sadat Hasan Manto which shows the funny side of an Indian mental asylum in 1947 during the partition of India, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

It has not been confirmed that Khan will work on the project but if he agrees, it would be his second movie on the subject of the partition. He had earlier starred in Deepa Mehta's 'Earth-1947', which was an adaptation of Bapsi Sidhawa's novel 'Ice Candyman'.

Aamir Khan has been known for going over the edge in different roles in films like the recent hit 'Ghajini' where he played an amnesiac and his directorial debut 'Taare Zameen Par' playing a teacher. For this movie his role would be a mentally challenged person in an asylum.

Nalin is hoping that both Aamir and Kate will agree to work on the film, yet he hasn't sent anything approaching another B-town actor if Khan rejects, however if Kate Winslet rejects, Nalin has plans to approach Oscar-nominated actress Rachel Weisz to play the role.

"Either Kate or Rachel will be doing my film. I will be meeting both of them after my Cannes trip to finalize the casting. Either of them will be able to do justice to this marvelous story," said Nalin.

Hrithik Roshan isn't someone who's exactly been lovey-dovey with his wife lately. It hasn't been that long since the word 'divorce' was being thrown around. That's why this kiss is probably more magnified than any other Hrithik Roshan may have had in the past with anyone other than his wife.

Besides all of that, in a country where you barely see couples holding one another in the movies, it's still pretty controversial to see actors kissing. But nothing to make me squirm, In fact I`d be more than happy and completely comfortable watching those kissing scenes with my wife, son and parents when the film is released."

The movie 'Kites' he says "Is a love story. It's about people in love. And what do people in love do to express their mutual feelings? In fact it was Barbara Mori who made me realize how silly we look on screen while shying away from expressing love naturally. We were both supposed to jump off from a rooftop at an impossible height. Before we did so our director Anurag Basu suggested I kiss Barbara since we were doing something death-defying and dangerous and potentially lethal. I reached out and kissed her on the cheeks. Barbara turned around to ask why I had kissed her on the cheek. 'Given the same situation with your real-life wife Suzanne would you kiss her on the cheek?' I was floored by her logic. And this time I kissed her the way real-life couples would in the situation. On the lips."

Madonna Set to Marry Baby Boy

It looks like Madonna is ready to get married... again! Pop icon Madonna and her 22 year-old boyfriend Jesus Luz (yes, 22 years old) are reportedly ready to unite under the practices of the Kabbalah. In other words, they will be united as one under the blessings of a rabbi at a Kabbalah Center in New York City. There's no word yet on when this union would take place. Now, Madonna continues to deny these reports, but you know the old saying, "Where there's smoke, there's fire."

Not much is known about Jesus Luz other than his occupation of being a model, but he has been seen out and about with Madonna ever since she split from her husband of eight years, Guy Ritchie. Ever since the rumors of their impending divorce were confirmed, Madonna was the world's hottest 50 year-old bachelorette, hanging out all night in clubs and reportedly going out with New York Yankees superstar baseball player Alex Rodriguez. It looks though as if she has settled with Luz for what will be her third marriage. Perhaps this marriage is a consolation for not being able to adopt a second Malawian child.

A source said, "They are totally besotted with each other and he's really helped Madonna through this tough time. It wasn't that the relationship went off the boil, it was more a matter of Madonna wanting to concentrate on her adoption bid of [Mercy] and they wanted to keep a low profile while that became the main focus. Madonna was devastated when the adoption was rejected the first time but now she wants to lavish some attention on Jesus and she's keen to make sure they have a solid relationship for all the children's sakes."

Madonna has three children, Lourdes, 13 (from a previous relationship with Carlos Leon), Rocco, 8 (from her relationship with Guy Ritchie), and David Banda, 3 whom she adopted while in Malawi. I would say she'll have a fourth now in Jesus, but that's just too easy. I could just imagine the awkwardness 13 year-old Lourdes will have by having a stepdad only 10 years older than her. I'm sure Madonna's happy with Jesus Luz (she even had him converted to the Kabbalah), but that 28 year old age gap is one to marvel at. He's as young as a college senior and she's as old as a college professor. Love might not discriminate based on age, but there's no way Jesus Luz at 10 years old was probably thinking "I'm really gonna marry her one day." It just goes to show that you never know with the always unpredictable Madonna.

You had to have seen this coming though. They were seen out together less and less. Guys, now is the time to work on those clichéd pick-up lines, buy some new wardrobe, and get your swagger up you if you think you can be that new special someone for her.

While they might not be a couple anymore, they're still business partners when it comes to cricket. Neither will be selling their stake in the cricket franchise anytime soon as Preity Zinta reportedly let the players and personnel of the team know in an email sent to them. Although Zinta denies sending out these e-mails, who really knows what went down.

When a famous star like her is back on the market, the rumor mill will rev right back up. It already has, with rumors linking her to cricketers from Yuvraj Singh to Brett Lee. Never one to bite her tongue, Preity Zinta wanted to clear up those rumors once and for all.

"My mantra used to be, 'never date a married man or an actor,'" said Preity Zinta. "That rule for my heart is still applicable, but to that I've added one more group of people who are taboo territory to my heart: cricketers. Going by my mantra of never mixing my personal life with my professional interests, I'll never date a cricketer either. One doesn't go out with people whom one works with; it's as simple as that."

Has Rihanna Found a New Man!

Has Rihanna finally moved on from abusive boyfriend Chris Brown? After a rocky few months and a recent stint in the hospital due to an alleged beating from boyfriend Chris Brown, Rihanna is seen out on the town with a new man.

The Barbadian princess was seen out last Tuesday night in New York City with a group of friends and new eye candy on her arm. Canadian actor turned rapper; Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham seemed to have swooned the songstress during their time together.

The group spent the night at Lucky Strike Lanes and Lounge bowling and sipping on drinks. Spectators reportedly saw the two locking lips, laughing, and cuddling all night. Apparently they looked very happy together. Close friends to the pop star say it’s the happiest she’s been in a long time. At the end of the night Rihanna and Aubrey were seen leaving the building together. One can only assume what discretion occurred behind closed doors and away from the shutters of flash bulbs.

Can this budding friendship turn into something more serious or is this another stunt for the media craven star? After much speculation from the media for continuing a quiet relationship after her beating from Chris Brown has Rihanna finally decided to move on and shut the door on the past?

Having a new man in her life is definitely a good distraction for the starlit right now. It will give her a chance to move forward in her personal life and career. And only if this does not move pass a quick fling, Rihanna is certainly surrounding herself with positivity.

We warned you! We warned you all! It was only a matter of time that Cash Money Records was going to make sure Jay Sean was going to get the proper shine that he deserved! The first step was Birdman's first single "Written on Her" which he is featured. Now, they had to get the biggest name in hip-hop right now alongside him for his newest single "Down." Who you might ask? None other than rap phenomenon and Cash Money Records label mate Lil' Wayne!

Jay Sean sounds like he was flat out focused for this song. The beat was thumping, the hook is catchy, and of course, you got Lil' Wayne rapping 16 bars showing everyone why his self-proclaimed status as the "Best Rapper Alive" is legit. There is no way anyone can sit back and say that this song will not become a hit. Even the biggest Jay Sean haters (and we know you're out there) have to listen to this and say "I can't even hate on him, this song is amazing!" The best thing about this song is that it is out just in time for the summer. Is this going to be an early contender for the Summer Anthem of 2009? We'll leave that up to you to decide. Hopefully there's a top notch music video on the way for this!

American Idol Full of Surprises

Last night's American Idol finale was definitely full of surprises, the biggest one being the announcement that Kris Allen is the new American Idol. In one word the two hour plus performance was bizarre. Pop stars from the past reenacted their glory days, while the 13 top contestants proved once again they cannot dance. In case you missed the show I will take you through some of the highlights.

The star studded performance included many interesting performances. To name a few: Steve Martin strumming on a banjo while Megan Joy and Michael Sarver attempted to croon a country ballad (I say "attempted" because I'm not really sure what it was they were doing. But, props to Steve martin for his exceptional banjo playing ability). Cyndi Lauper and Allison Iraheta gave a great vocal performance, but left the audience wondering, was Ms. Lauper sober? Why was she sitting with her legs wide open? And what instrument was she playing? Danny Gokey gave a stellar performance with Lionel Richie, but, the performance of the night goes to Adam Lambert with KISS. Not only did Adam sound great but he fit right in with the makeup, boots, and outlandish costume (I think the band has found their new lead singer!) As if the performances weren't crazy enough, the winner announcement pushed the show's surprises over the edge.

After weeks of assuming Adam would take it all, Kris Allen received the trophy (yes, there was an actual trophy!!) One has to wonder, what was America thinking?! It is quite obvious that Adam is the better performer and better vocalist, not to mention a much more interesting persona. It also seems that Adam is more popular, at least according to the song sales on itunes. So what happened? Was America reluctant to crown such a flamboyant personality? Or did they not listen to the performances, and voted Kris Allen on the merits of his cute blonde wife?

Shilpa Shetty Kicks it with Akon at IPL Closing Ceremony

Shilpa Shetty has a game plan, but not for her cricket team, the Rajasthan Royals, who just closed out their season with a loss to the Kolkata Knight Riders. She's seeing the season out in a festive way despite her team's loss. It's been announced that she'll be performing at the IPL closing ceremony with Akon, but we have no idea exactly what she'll be doing on stage.

Akon will bust out his Grammy award winning song "Smack That" at the IPL closing ceremony at Wanderers on Sunday night. Shilpa Shetty will join him and we'll also see a separate performance by Katrina Kaif. We know that Katrina Kaif will be dancing to "Jai Ho" from Slumdog Millionaire. Under the choreography of Shiamak Davar she will join a troupe of Indian and South African dancers.

We don't know what Shilpa Shetty will be doing beside Akon, and we can't wait to see. Maybe she has become something of a triple threat and then some, if owning a cricket team and being a renowned actress isn't enough evidence of talent. Will this be the first time we witness Shilpa Shetty sing, or maybe she'll just dance?

It's going to be quite the surprise to see what the widely talented Shilpa Shetty will be doing on stage, but hopefully it'll be as good as the rest of the lineup. With two Bollywood beauties performing, and a string of other talents including Eddy Grant performing "Walking on Sunshine" and "Gimme Hope Jo'anna" and a synchronized piece by percussionist Shivamani, there is little room for the performance to fall short.

Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu are going to battle it out on the dance floor. Bipasha is going to take the month off and bring it on—belly dancing style. She’s mastered swimming and has proven her driving skills. Now she is preparing for a full throttle belly dancing competition with Kareena Kapoor.

She chose belly dancing because she wanted to find something that would not destroy her already weak knees. Kareena Kapoor has one up on her. She has already learned how to belly dance and is damn good at it! No wonder she challenged Bipasha. But what kind of competition is the cute Kareena to the sexy Bipasha? That’s for you to judge.

So what brought up this immediate need to learn a new skill? Perhaps it was the bare midriff of the scantily clad Shakira on her last visit to India that inspired these Bollywood babes.
Bipasha is reportedly doing this to add to her skills, but competition seems to be enticing her. Maybe it’s all for fun and new experiences, or maybe there’s something the girls want to prove. But what?

The two will be showcasing their skills at an international film awards event next month. Not only is Bipasha being paid large sums to attend, she is trying for best on stage.

Bollywood Bombshell Mallika Sherawat charges A bomb!

Mallika Sherawat will be appearing on Salman Khans game show ‘Das Ka Dum’ on May 24. The celebrity game show will feature a panel of celebs participating in humorous and entertaining challenges. But this will not go without a high price, a very high price.

Sources say that Mallika will only appear on the show if she receives whatever payment she wants. Here’s the great part, the producers are going to conceit to her demands. Salman will not be using his celebrity influence to recruit players for the show. This means that the produces will have to lour celebrities in the old fashioned way, by waving a nice big check in front of their faces.


So what does this mean? This means Mallika has the power to ask for as much money as she wants to appear on the one hour game show. It is reported that the star has her demands set at Rs. 50 lakh.

Some are speculating that the deal is a way to patch up the rocky relationship she has with Salman. For whatever the reason, what a deal it is. Where else can you go to get paid to win money? Because I want to sign up.

Pak singers & Indian composers find new ways to work together.

With relations between India and Pakistan still at a stalemate, the musical exchange between the two countries has found new meeting points: Dubai and the Internet. And Indian news websites report that Pakistani musicians are not allowed to do public performances and are not getting visas to travel to India for recordings. Last month, music director Pritam e-mailed three compositions to singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan who then recorded them in Pakistan and e-mailed it back to the music director. "It's tough working out a long distance recording. Rahat would be on conference call sometimes at 4 AM in the morning. He shares such a great relationship with Indian music directors like Pritam that he gives preference to these recordings. There's lots of love and respect," says Raja Umair Hussain, Khan's business manager from Pakistan.

Pritam, who has also been working with Atif Aslam (Atif has a contract with Tips), says that they have no choice but to work their way around the problems. "I am flying to Dubai next week to record two songs with Atif for a forthcoming film. Since he won't get a visa to India and I won't get a visa to Pakistan, we will fly to down to Dubai and record there," said Pritam, while speaking to DNA India. Shafqat Amanat Ali, who is also a hit favourite on the Bollywood soundtrack scene, is doing some Bollywood projects including Mukesh Bhatt's next film. While Music Today released his last album, Tabeer, Shafqat can't do live shows any more. "We have been asked to stay away from public performances in India," said Shafqat. "The ban on artistes will not do any good. Most of our work is on hold. The artist community has been the first and the worst to be hit," he said.

`Star Trek' has whopping $76.5 million opening

LOS ANGELES (AP) — "Star Trek" beamed itself up to the top of the box office, earning $76.5 million in its opening weekend.

Paramount Pictures had estimated that the movie would make about $50 million for the weekend, but figured that strong reviews helped carry it to the bigger opening.

The studio said director J.J. Abrams' reboot of the beloved sci-fi franchise made $4 million just in pre-midnight screenings Thursday — plus a record $8.2 million in IMAX showings.

"Star Trek," which reveals the back stories of Capt. Kirk, Mr. Spock and the rest of the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, received 96 percent positive reviews on the Rotten Tomatoes Web site.

Akki/Kat’s perfect symbiosis?

The non actress that she’s is, it wasn’t easy for Katrina Kaif to survive in B-Town despite the help she was getting from her angry man- Salman Khan.

Until a certain Mr. Akshay Kumar happened to her.

He too was looking for a perfect screen partner after his wifey Twinkle Khanna banned him from working with Priyanka Chopra after too much talk of their link ups.

And Kat knew nothing about acting, other than sitting and looking pretty and running around trees.

They had undeserving and unwarranted hits like ‘Namastey London’, ‘Welcome’ and ‘Singh Is King’ together.

But both wanted to experiment and started doing films with other actors but things didn’t turn out to be as rosy as they thought they would be.

By the way, Akshay loves to do the same things over and over again and put in a mishmash of comedy, action, romance etc in all his movies. And Kat doesn’t have the prowess to do anything new either.

So ‘Chandni Chowk To China’ fell flat on its face and the chemistry with Deepika didn’t work at all.

Katrina’s movie with beau Salman Khan -‘Yuuvraaj’ did badly too.

So looks like now the twosome have realized their real worth now.

When director Priyandarshan was making a choice of heroine for his next venture, ‘De Dhana Dhan’ opposite Akki, Kat’s name came up.

Akki quickly recommended Katrina’s name as he again wanted to repeat the on-screen chemistry.

Priyan is happy too and they are currently shooting in Singapore.

John Abraham to romance director's wife in '1:800 Love'

Mumbai, May 9 (IANS) Actor John Abraham, who will be seen romancing the wife of director Abbas Tyrewala in '1:800 Love', says he is not feeling awkward and is prepared to take on the challenging role.

'I know Abbas and Pakhi well. They make a beautiful couple. There's absolutely no awkwardness about doing a love story with the director's wife,' John said.

He said Pakhi has co-written the script and knows the characters well. 'She's an unknown face and extremely pretty. These are her biggest advantages. A beautiful woman whom the audience hasn't seen.'

'I'm going to sit on script readings with Abbas, do workshops and rehearsals with Pakhi, just like Abbas did with the cast in 'Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na'. I'm hungry for acting challenges,' said John, who seems to be quite serious about his new project.

'But most of the time my physicality comes on much too strongly on screen. People haven't really seen the performances I'm really proud of, like 'No Smoking', 'Kabul Express', 'Zinda' and 'Aashayein'. My physicality always takes precedence. But I'll change that. I've been in this industry for only five years. People have started looking differently at me after 'Dostana'. The body was talked about. But when they praise my performance it really feels good.

'When Abbas offered me that film he was directing 'Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na'. The film's producer Madhu Mantena had 'Ghajini' in the making and I was doing 'Dostana'. By God's grace we all have a success on hand. So we're a proud team. It's an intense love story and it's such a wonderful space to be in. Before 'Dostana' I was only doing films that kept me within my comfort zone. Now I'm going to test myself as an actor as much as possible,' John said.

Asked if he would feel awkward directing love scenes between his wife and John, Abbas said: 'I hope not, if I can remember they're acting. Luckily I've never written explicit love scenes in my film. The only explicit love-making scene I've conceived was for Vishal Bhardwaj's 'Maqbool'. That apart, I like my writing to be benign. It doesn't matter whether my wife is acting or not. I can't forget my parents will be watching my film.'

My next character will surely make an impact: Priyanka Chopra

Mumbai, May 9 (IANS) Priyanka Chopra is all excited about her role in director Vishal Bhardwaj's new movie 'Kaminey' and says the character will 'definitely make an impact amongst audiences'.

'I do hope that I have been able to do justice to Vishal's vision for this wonderful character that he has created. You don't get to work in a fantastic movie like 'Kaminey' and play someone like Sweety (the name of her character) every day,' said Priyanka, who donned an altogether new look for the film.

'I am confident that my character of Sweety will definitely make an impact amongst the audiences. You can't expect anything less from Vishal. This character is so well written that it is bound to create an impact.'

Earlier, the film was expected to release on June 5. But due to the standoff between the producers and multiplexes, 'Kaminey' is expected to be pushed forward by at least a month.

Asked whether it was a conscious decision on her part to mix glamorous roles (as seen in 'Dostana' and 'Fashion') with a real look, Priyanka said: 'Well, yes, it was a conscious decision for sure. I am mixing it up and 'What's your Rashee', which would come next, would see me in a completely different light as well.'

Just like 'Kaminey', 'What's Your Rashee' is being produced by UTV Motion Pictures (though in collaboration with Ashutosh Gowariker Productions). The film was earlier slated for a September release but it has to be seen whether the delayed release of 'Kaminey' has any bearing on 'What's Your Rashee'.

'Kaminey' also features Shahid Kapoor in a double role and Amol Gupte (writer of 'Taare Zameen Par') as a villain

Irtaash was formed back in November 2001 when the band performed for the first time on stage with Yasir Jaswal on vocals, Farook Shah on lead guitars and Kaiser on rhythm guitars and a computer playing the bass and drum beats. Irtaash played their first ever single Kaali Raatien and received a lot of applause from the crowd. The band made its initial recordings at Grey Matter Studios Islamabad. The song made Irtaash popular; Kali Raatien was everywhere, on Radio and the Internet. It was the most requested song on FM 101 in 2002 and remained in the top ten song for 08 straight weeks in a show called High Voltage on FM 101. Later it also made it big on other radio stations.

Almost after a year of Irtaash Kaiser left for higher studies abroad and Umer Sohail replaced him on Rhythm Guitars. Soon Talha (Bass Guitar) and Ali Nadeem (Drums) joined Irtaash and the band line-up was complete.

Irtaash started to storm audiences everywhere and soon became a big name in the underground scene of not only Islamabad but Pakistan. The Band released another melodious demo song called “Khauf” in summer 2006 which received almost 60,000 downloads in one month.

Later that year (2006) Irtaash released the video of “Kali Raatien” Directed by Zeeshan Parwez. It was aired on all major music channels of Pakistan and brought even more miracles for the band.

By the end of 2006 Farooq Shah (Lead Guitarist) decided to go abroad to pursue his studies, Umer took the responsibility of being the Lead guitarist of Irtaash. Fahad was introduced on Rhythm Guitars. Irtaash decided not to compromise on sound quality and choose to the record the whole album from S & M Studios (Sarmad Ghafoor). Band has managed to come up with a distinct and superb sound which today makes Irtaash different from others.

With the album ready all looked set for Irtaash until Ali Nadeem finally decided to leave for abroad to pursue studies as well. Ex-Rung drummer Wasim Kamal was called forth as a session drummer for Irtaash until he was finally included in the line up in late 2009.

In this particular song ‘Tu Nahien’ Sarmad Ghafoor has featured on Lead Guitars.

Jaane Tu.. Ya Jaane Na‘ was the youth blockbuster last year from the director Abbas Tyrewala. The success of the film have made the director to think something more about the film.

Imran Khan started his career with a bang, giving his first blockbuster hit and the films also boosted the career of struggling actress Genelia D’Souza.

The Director has finally decided to bring a sequel to ‘Jaane Tu.. Ya Jaane Na’ and has revelaed some details about the film. The sequel will focus on the character of Imran Khan and Genelia D’Souza, Jai and Aditi, and the troubles they now face in their married life.

Genelia who has movies like “It’s My Life” with Harman Baweja, “Life Partner” with Fardeen Khan and “Hook Ya Crook” with John Abraham has admitted that the movie changed her career and it would be nice to reunite with the whole team.
Abbas Tyrewala is currently working on his film ‘1-800 Love‘ which has his wife Paakhi opposite John Abraham and will then shift to the Jaane Tu sequel.

It will intersting to see whether the sequel repeats the glory of ‘Jaane Tu.. Ya Jaane Na’. Bollywood sequels generally dont work at the box office so lets hope that Abbas Tyrewala will recreate hi magic again

Director Imtiaz Ali completes post-production of ‘Love Aaj Kal’ starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in the leas roles will finally be moving onto his next production. Eros International has signed the director for their next. Hrithik Roshan has been approached for the lead role in the film.

An industry source reveals, “Eros International signed Hrithik Roshan a couple of years back for an English film to be produced with Carving Dreams. But even after repeated story sessions, the project never took off. Now, Eros has gone back to Hrithik and want to make a film with him in the lead.”

The source further adds, “Eros is co-producing Saif Ali Khan’s home production Love Aaj Kal and are so impressed with the film’s director Imtiaz Ali that they thought he’d be an ideal choice for direct a movie with Hrithik starring. A few days back, Imtiaz gave Hrithik a lengthy narration. Apparently Hrithik loved the idea and is game for a project with the Jab We Met maker. Other paperwork is being okayed for the same project

SAJID NADIADWALA SPENDS 8 LAKHS ON KAREENA!

The big budgeted film of the year Kambakkht Ishq is getting bigger n bigger. Sajid Nadiadwala has especially ordered a dress from Paris for Kareena for a dance sequence.

According to the sources, “When the songs was completed and the whole crew had a look, the song was looking very beautiful and eye catching. But most importantly everyone’s eyes were stuck at seeing Kareena’s dress. Kareena was looking gorgeous. The dress costed 8 lakhs.”

Sajid gifted the dress to Kareena saying that she looks gorgeous in the dress.

Bollywood Stars seems to have beaten the economic slowdown. Akshay Kumar becomes the highest tax payer for the year 2008-09 with a tax of Rs 1 crore being payed to the IT Department.

Akshay now becomes the highest and beats the king khan in top tax payee list of bollywood stars. Shahrukh Khan who was the top tax payee last year marginally lost the race with Akki this year.

Akshay Kumar also was the most poupular bollywood star last year beating all the khan’s aside. Last year he gave many blockbusters and become the highest earner of the bollywood.

The top ten bollywood stars together paid Rs 107 crore as taxes while the same set had paid Rs 90.90 crore in 2007-08 when the economy was booming.

The other two khans - Salman and Saif were at number three and four, having paid Rs 14 crore and Rs 8.6 crore respectively.

Among the bollywood Jodi’s Saif-Kareena are together the highest tax payee with Kareena paying Rs 3.7 crore. The duo clearly beat the Bachchans - Abhishek and Aishwarya - who stood at No 8 and No 6 respectively.

Yesteryear superstar Rajesh Khann continues to be among the top Bollywood tax payers, coming at no. 5 paying Rs 6.87 crore leading ahead of Big B (Rs 1.25 crore) who slipped to 10 number from last year 7th position.
