Eminem Robbed of $60,000 Worth of Stuff

Despite selling 225,000 additional copies of his #1 album "Relapse" this week to remain atop the charts, Eminem has had one bad week. Most people by now have heard of the Sacha Baron Cohen "Bruno" incident at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards that caused Eminem to storm out of the show. Eminem went from angry and humiliated to livid and incensed. Once he got back to his hotel room, Eminem had discovered that he had been robbed of some personal possessions.

Stolen from Eminem's hotel room in Los Angeles last Sunday was a necklace worth over $60,000 and a personal laptop computer. No word yet on who might have stolen it or where the items are now, but that couldn't possibly have been a good end to his day. The night after the robbery, Eminem performed at a secret show with Jay-Z and according to those who attended, it was fairly obvious that there was a lot on his mind.

"When Eminem rapped with [Jay], the crowd loved it," said one eyewitness. "But when he continued on his own and did songs off his new album, the energy just died. People were pumped to see him, but he wasn't interacting with his fans. His performance was mechanical, without a lot of personality, and people were pretty disappointed."

To be fair, if your personal laptop was stolen, you'd be in a bad mood too. You could have personal emails in there, saved business files of some sort, and in this case, perhaps even demos of songs you're working on. After all, Eminem is planning a sequel to "Relapse" to come out later this year. While losing a $60,000 necklace isn't a good thing, you can always buy another one. Losing a laptop is like losing a diary in some ways. Whoever took it hopefully will find it in them to give back the lost items.

Let us know your thoughts on Eminem's hotel room being robbed of some important and what you would do if you lost your computer or an article of jewelry.
