Michael Jackson Unsure of Whether He Can Complete Tour

When it comes to music, Michael Jackson is virtually unrivaled. The hundreds of millions of records he has sold worldwide goes to show people that he knows what the world wants. When he is performing onstage, he is in his own world, making a front row seat to his out-of-this-realm events a treasured item. However, when it comes to business, Michael Jackson seems to take two steps forward and one step backwards. His latest slip-up has come in the form of his highly anticipated 50 date tour of London slated to start this July.

The 50 year-old King of Pop did not realize that he was signing up to perform so many dates. With his many physical ailments including a frail frame and early stages of skin cancer as a result of his 20 year battle with vitigo, Michael Jackson is starting to have major doubts about whether he can realistically complete 50 shows without breaking down. The tour has already been postponed once due to legal issues as well as his need for more time to prepare. He walked out of a Los Angeles dance studio and in a rare occurrence, vented a bit on the status of the tour.

"I'm really angry with them booking me up to do 50 shows,” Michael Jackson said. I only wanted to do 10, and take the tour around the world to other cities, not 50 in one place. I went to bed knowing I sold 10 dates, and woke up to the news I was booked to do 50."

If what Michael is saying is true, then while his management team dropped the ball, Michael did too. It’s one thing if it’s a difference of, say 10 shows and 15 shows. Its another when it’s 10 shows and 50 shows. Michael Jackson has signed billion dollar record contracts, countless endorsement deals, and even owns the rights to the music of The Beatles. However, he has miscalculated his earnings, spent frivolously on homes, and has been close to filing for bankruptcy despite generating billions of dollars since his professional music career started.

How will Michael Jackson endure through 50 shows in his current condition? Do you think Michael Jackson will complete this tour? Let us know what you think of the latest chapter in this growing saga.
